The Miracle of June 15, 2001
God CLEARLY intervened in my life.
God gave me a sign
Date: June 15, 2001
Time: approx 1:15pm CST
How: The phone was ringing when I walked in the door, it was an answer to a prayer offered on my behalf by Todd B. on his driveway at approx 1pm CST. To be clear, I mean I spent approx 10am to 1pm with Todd at his house, he sent me off approx 1pm with a prayer and Jesus answered that prayer approx 15mins later with a phone call that led to me being wired rent money approx 4hrs later from a complete stranger in another state. Jerry disappeared from my life soon thereafter and I never met him in person and I could not find him after he disappeared. I don’t even know his full name but he was about 1500 miles away from me when this all happened and I did have a witness there and there is more to the story. Jerry wired me about $600.00 in total. I never heard from or learned anything about Jerry again.
I think at the time I typed up a detailed account. I met him over the phone through my brother-in-law who broke character to ask this guy, Jerry about me. It was a miracle. Maybe someday I’ll add more about it here.
It bothers me to this day that I don’t have more “facts” about this whole ordeal.
My argument for not being a Christian previously was essentially that “it was not the truth and I wanted to know the truth.” However, Jesus said that he knew the truth and our best efforts from the likes of Socrates and Descartes (which very few people dispute) argue that we can’t know for sure if he was lying. Something has to be taken on Faith. I was so opposed to believing this that I believe this is why I received The Miracle of 6/15/01 and there can be no more mistaking that Jesus must have been not 90 or 99% right, but 100% right whether we understand what he said or even know what he said.

Miracles coming so fast I could not write them down fast enough. By the time I considered keeping a journal, I was several examples too late and they were coming in so fast it seemed like a waste of time and energy. I felt I should concentrate on getting to where the winds were taking me.
$70 in the collection plate was all my money in cash. Mom sent $70 unannounced and it arrived days later for original purpose.
Gave dirty hitchhiker ride to SA per Good Samaritan verse. He was one who needed help it seemed. Turns out he was going to a church and reconciling with brother in KY.
James and Simon
1991-ish “Good Christian name,” and “Too bad.” James is the name of two of Jesus’ Apostles.
2001-ish Simon is also the name of two Apostles.
I have two sons who both share names with two of Jesus’ Apostles. I found this very, very striking. I need a mathematician to tell me the odds of this particularly as I was not a fan of Christianity when either of them were named.
February 23, 2017 update Eagle Scout 1 and Eagle Scout 2
I need to update with some more specifics perhaps but my oldest son was picked up carried across the finish line to earn the BSA Rank of Eagle Scout when it was mathematically almost impossible to achieve.
I separated from my wife in 2009 for about 8 weeks and God was all over that. My sister for example could NOT believe that we reconciled.
In Oct-Dec 2016 my youngest son faced daily obstacles to earning his own Eagle Scout Rank (yay, I’m 2 for 2) and daily prayer and relentless pursuit of the goal were responsible for that happening as well. Thank you, Jesus!
