P90X3 Classic Week 9 Day 3 Complex Upper

Oh My LORD!

THE MOST BRUTAL, TAXING workout BY A WIDE MARGIN!

My Kenpo instructor, Mr. Duffy was famous for making students, shall I say “loose their lunch” during class. Mostly they ran off the mat but not always. Two of them documented their experience with this in their first class with him in a book he and I are featured in titled “Kenpo Continuum.” I don’t recall feeling that way myself. I guess I always tried to keep some gas in the tank for later.

But tonight.

My goodness.

It was tough.

We moved to the Gym because my son wanted the excellent pull-up assist machine, which is Great, but we had to stay out of sync because of rotating through the pull-ups. Because of the new environment and me trying to finish all the reps in each set/round the workout took an hour (61 minutes).

I did all the reps for the first 3 rounds. Maybe all 4, I’ll go look.

I did at least one set of each in the burnout.

This workout was Brutal! But it’s been a bit more than 2hrs now. I’ve eaten, drank more water and had a shower. I feel pretty good now. Except my biceps are sore; not much but I can feel them being sore. Particularly when I got up and walked across the room a minute ago. I really brought it on this one I think. It looked deceptively easy. It was simple. But simple does not mean easy. Ask Sisyphus.

We have some pix of us before and during the workout. The after pix did not turn out well enough to post. Anthony was dried off mostly and it was hard to tell how soaking wet I was also. So you have been spared two extra pix.

Bear in mind, I dress for function and make no attempt to coordinate a wardrobe for working out. But I may try in the future because, well, my public may appreciate it.
