P90x Day 17

Shoulders and Arms went well. My wife loved it. My shoulder was fine by the way, for the last two days or so.

My wife likes everything but Yoga so far. But we have Yoga twice next week. She’ll come around.

Yoga is awesome.

P90x Day 16

Cardio is only about 44mins long.

It rocks. Also, I noticed a couple of days ago that my shoulder healed within 2 days after I strained it.

Still having trouble with Runner’s Pose. But this is great stuff. Amazing how much energy you get after working so hard for so long. Still working to get this rolling at 5am.

P90x Day 15 Complete, Week 3 underway!

So I’ve noticed that by the 3rd week I seem to be able to do all the positions.

I can do the Chataranga Run for example. I could do Bow today as in Bow to Boat.

But I still have issues with getting my lunge deep enough to do the Lunge and Reach and touch the floor and on the one that is like a Skater Side to Side is like I learned a Dragon Stance and I’d rather do the Dragon Stance.

But my wife can do stuff she could not do on Week 1.  We just need a bit more room.

This is good stuff. I’m not sure when the last time was that I did a workout anything like this for an hour or more on a daily basis for 3 weeks. Maybe Basic Training.

P90x Day 14

We did a Double today. I think it was Legs and Back and Ab Ripper X around 12:30.

Then we did some errands and came back to do Kenpo X at 6pm.

Week 2 Complete!

This stuff is great. I’m getting a good hour of a good workout everyday. And sometimes I play Tennis or teach Kenpo on top of that.

Measurements may come soon. I’m not losing any weight… hmph, but I know for a fact the scale I’m using is faulty and right now, I’m really trying to get P90x working at 5am daily. We have the daily part down almost but the 5am is not working yet. We’ll see in the AM.

2 of 12 weeks down. 76 days to go. Halfway through month 1 of 3.

And again, these workouts are rejuvenating as is most good exercise by the way.

P90x Day 12

Yoga is 1:32:00!!!

I hurt my shoulder part way in and at 50mins to go I was WASTED. I had no energy. I was shot. But I limped along to the end.

The Runner’s Pose is killing me. I have to step into it. With my right shoulder being injured it was tough but I still like it.

Double coming up on Sat or we will move Kenpo to Sunday and not rest again for a week to stay on track.

P90x Day 11

Shoulders and Arms (59:54), Ab Ripper X (16:07).

Day 10 was a rest. Today should be Yoga but we’ll catch up this week as noted in previous post.

This workout is AWESOME. And today, on perhaps my 5th try, I was able to do some of most of the exercises. Like Tony says, I hate Ab Ripper X, but I love it. I actually just love it. It is good stuff.

Incredible. And that workout is now in the books. 79 more days to go on this “Lean” program. And then the Fun begins! WooHoo!

Also played Tennis afterwards. More exercise!

P90x Week 2 Day 3 = Day 10

I felt awful on Day 10 for whatever reason, maybe diet changes affecting me… so we took that day off. My home scale says I lost 1.5lbs that day, maybe that was it.

So with a day of rest inserted tonight should be the Shoulders and Arms plus Ab Ripper X.

We will make up the missing day by working out on Sunday which should be a rest or doing a double on Sat with Legs/Back + Ab Ripper X plus Kenpo which is how we ended Week 1 I think.

So Day 10 was a rest. Today is Day 11 and that will get an entry when it is done.

And if we can do the double tomorrow at 5am and 6:30pm we will.

More to come. I have apparently lost 8lbs since about the time this started. That is good, but I was at my all-time highest weight then so I’m now about back to where I’ve been for years which is too much. I’m looking forward to losing the next 35lbs which will put me in a better place. I think I need to loose 42lbs to get me back to where I was just after High School about a year after I started Kenpo. I remember what I weighed when I was entering tournaments back then. That is my target. According to the BMI index that is still 10 or 15lbs too heavy but one of my doctors previously said he didn’t like the BMI index anyway. And if get back to that old tournament weight I will seriously analyze all the stats then. Until then, I really want to loose 20lbs and then then 12 more and then I will also look at where I’m at.

This blog may have too much rambling I know. I may redo it later but for now it is a record of me working through P90x.

 

P90x Week 2 Begins!

Week 2 has begun. Core Synergistics.

Tomorrow we rest to 5am workouts and that should begin the downhill slide to Day 180. Or Day 90, part two, lol.

Dreya Rolls kick my butt. But this week I was able to do Plank to Chataranga Runs which I was not able to do last week. It is Amazing how fast you progress on here. My wife also was able to do some stuff this week that she was unable to do a week earlier.

And I was SOAKING WET after this one. It is a GREAT workout!
